Practice Q and A layout

This week I have continued to work towards my final product. Today I have been producing a few options in which I might present the Q and A information in my magazine.

I prefer the top left option, though I may still need to experiment with blending options etc to improve this design.

Starting my Final Piece

The past week I have been finishing off any photography needed, i now have all the photos needed for the fashion page, including the photos of various bags. I have also now taken the photograph for my front cover.

I am starting to get further knowledge of Photoshop, experimenting with more techniques such as use of the pen tool etc. I have also started to build up my page roughly, placing pictures and text etc though they still need a lot of editing.

I have also come up with a new name for my magazine as I found out the previous idea was already in use: The diabetic Gossip, with the diabetic in small sized font so the main title appears to be just Gossip.

Feedback for my covers

I was told the diabetic magazine looked the most professional though they were both conventional. The idea liked the most was the image of the girl overlapping the title of the magazine.

Improvements suggested which I can take into account when creating my first draft for my coursework cover:

The circle with the price should be smaller.
More text (perhaps make all text slightly smaller to fit this in)

Another thing I have now found out is that the name Allure is already the name for another magazine while doing my researchers for publishing companies. I was planning to use this name for my final coursework cover too but will have to change this.

Final drafts of my practice covers

Earlier I designed covers for both a diabetic and a teen/young adult magazine, I have now redrafted them by creating them on photoshop, making small changes to improve the final pieces.
